Movie review (task 8)

-->
Interpretation: The director in this play was very good at following the play, in fact I believe that it was all there. But going from play to movie was really impressive, all the emotion really portrayed what Shakespeare was trying to show. For example when Claudio rejects hero at the altar there was so much emotion in that scene, so much anger and sadness I really felt like it was a real moment.

Acting: I thought that the whole cast were a set of great actors, they all played there part very well, in particular Dogberry. I thought that him and Verges were a wonderful representation of how silly and stupid they were in the play. I also thought that most of the actors represented there character well physically. Like Benedick was almost an exact image of what i had in my head. Although i did think Leanato would have been more strict and stronger looking  rather that fat.

Pace: The Pace of Much ado About Nothing was decent, at some parts it was too slow like when the characters would only talk to themselfs such as Benedick after hearing the rumor of Beatrice in love with him. Another part that just dragged on was the scenes with Dogberry, he just would never stop talking and it actually got pretty annoying. But at some of the more "action scenes like the wedding of as the men and Prince where riding up (at the beginning) it was quite entertaining.

Rating (4 stars)
Production: I'm not actually sure where they filmed the movie but it fit right in perfectly. Im sure they used some small castle of sorts, if not they had a lot of sets. The whole area worked so well with the play such as the gardens and the fountains, it just made it all feel like you were really there and in the Shakespearean mood.

Recommendations: I would not recommend this movie to everyone, that's for sure. Younger children would not understand whats going on and find it boring as well as people who only like action movies. This would be great for people who like romance and love stories as well as any Shakespeare or theater fans. For me personally I don't usually like plays and things of this genre but I actually quite enjoyed it.

Whats up doc? (task 7)

Journal entry: Back to the future

Just yesterday morning I was awakened by an antic noise, for as I proceeded to investigate I found myself in a very strange land nothing like the home I was used to. Upon asking somebody where I was I could not understand for his tongue spoke of a strange language that I was not familiar with. As I roamed the smooth rock like road, searching for anything to help me get back to Massina everyone seemed to be gazing on me. Perhaps it was because of my clothes, for theirs were certainly strange to me. Some of the women in fact barely seemed to be wearing any at all. There were many fair ladies who had destroyed their appearance with parlous garments and by changing there hair in mysterious ways, I believe I saw a young wench with hair the color or the grass.
Finally I picked up an assortment of papers that had the date on them, I was so affright you could not imagine, for it was the year of 2013! I had no idea how I had managed to get myself into this but I was sure I could get myself out. This new world is so strange, not only the people but everything around. There where these machines on wheels that could travel faster than I have ever seen, transporting you where you would desire go I believe they are called cars. And these devices that everyone carried, they never seemed to be able to look away called phones, what a bizarre name and the most antic thing was they would start to talk to them as if they were humans! Oh and there were these tremendously enormous castle like structures that touched the sky taking many different shapes and forms. Not even just to mention all the people, there were more people than I have ever seen before.
The world was so loud in the year of 2013; I much prefer the peaceful and quiet time of the past. There seemed to be so much spite and hardly love. Back home I loved playing with love and tricking people to fall for each other! But none of that here, hardly any conversations were made. To see our future as this left me in choler. I do not know how I shall return to my time but when I do I will warn my people and try to save this pity of a world.
